A research test was conducted by the scientists in which cartoons were shown to a group of men and women and their brains were put into scan.

These are the results...
In general women were skeptical and didn't expect the cartoons to be funny, when they did laugh they were surprised.
Men on the other hand expected to be amused by the cartoons, when they weren't they experienced disappointment.
